First Choice Emergency Room Celebrates 10th Anniversary
SPRING, Texas -- First Choice Emergency Room, the largest and oldest freestanding emergency room system, announced its 10th anniversary. First Choice Emergency Room has revolutionized the way people receive emergency treatment, serving as a neighborhood alternative should a medical emergency arise.
“We are proud to be celebrating this key milestone as a pioneering company in emergency care,” stated Thomas S. Hall, President and CEO of First Choice Emergency Room. “First Choice Emergency Room was recently voted by our employees as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Texas and our medical care was rated as the highest quality by our patients. We are poised for great things in the next ten years at First Choice ER.”
According to patients surveyed by Press Ganey, First Choice Emergency Room provides the highest quality emergency medical care in its region and ranks in the 99th percentile in the nation for patient satisfaction.
In its 10th year of operation, First Choice Emergency Room’s Flower Mound facility opened its doors on December 15, 2002. The local community responded so positively to freestanding emergency care that First Choice Emergency Room has now expanded to 14 facilities in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Austin. Earlier this year, all First Choice Emergency Room facilities extended their service to 24 hours, 365 days per year.
First Choice Emergency Room has expansion plans in the first half of 2013 with the original Flower Mound location moving to a larger facility nearby as well as new facilities opening in Katy and Austin, Texas. First Choice ER will also move into a new state with a facility opening in Colorado Springs in early 2013.
First Choice Emergency Room facilities are staffed exclusively with board-certified emergency physicians and emergency trained registered nurses. The facilities are equipped with state of the art diagnostic technology, including CT Scanners, Digital X-Rays and Ultrasounds, as well as COLA & CLIA accredited labs to handle emergency needs on the spot.
